Our Mission
At Crown Point Church we seek to develop programs and ministry opportunities to help people just like you discover and develop their new life in Jesus Christ. Everything we do is designed to assist you in your walk with the Lord.
Our first concern is that you experience salvation through Christ’s saving power. Each of us make many decisions throughout our lives, but you will never make a decision more important than inviting Jesus into your heart as your Savior and Lord. The Bible teaches that this decision alone determines your eternal destiny.
Soon after becoming a Christian, the selection of a Bible teaching, Christ-centered church home is vital to your relationship with God. It is essential to find a loving fellowship of God’s people with whom you can share your life.
Crown Point is that kind of church family. Ultimately, we hope to encourage you and provide you with opportunities to exercise your spiritual gifts and talents as we serve the Lord together. It truly is more blessed to give than to receive!
Thank you for visiting our web site. Please accept our warm invitation to come, see, and discover a special congregation of God’s people whom we know as Crown Point Church!
How to be Saved…
Jesus Christ is the only way your new relationship can be established. Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
of your sins and rebellion against God’s will for your life.
…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God
Romans 3:23
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord.
Acts 3:19
Jesus Christ as your personal Savior and Lord. If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”
Romans 10:9-13
Our Staff
Mike Ragland
Mike was born and raised in Jacksonville, FL and has been the lead pastor at Crown Point Baptist Church since April 2019. Mike has been married to his high school sweetheart, Michelle, for over 32 years and he has two sons, Cody and Chad. Mike’s favorite verse is 2 Corinthians 5:17
Mike’s greatest joy is that his wife and sons love to go out in the community and on short term trips to share their faith and point others to Christ and see lives transformed with the Gospel of Jesus.
There was a time in Mike’s life when he was chasing empty promises and was self-centered while doing things his own way. But then he was introduced to the person of Jesus and he turned from his rebellion and followed Jesus. Since then he has had purpose and peace with a desire to serve others. Do you have a story like that?
Mike’s vision is to create a community by which everyone can live out their faith without fear but with freedom found in God’s Grace.

Our Statement of Faith
The following is Crown Point Baptist Church’s Statement of Faith in what we believe. If you have any questions please contact us.
We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God. It is without error and serves as the final authority in all matters of faith and practice (2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21).
We believe in one God, eternally existing in three Persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14). He is infinite, sovereign, holy, and worthy of all glory and honor (Isaiah 45:5-6).
We believe in Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, lived a sinless life, was crucified, died, and was buried. He rose bodily from the grave on the third day, ascended into heaven, and is seated at the right hand of God the Father, where He intercedes for His people (John 1:1-18; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4; Hebrews 7:25).
We believe that the Holy Spirit indwells every believer, empowering and gifting them to live godly lives and to serve Christ and His church (John 14:16-17; Acts 1:8; 1 Corinthians 6:19; Galatians 5:22-23). He convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment (John 16:7-11).
We believe that salvation is by God’s grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone (Ephesians 2:8-9). All people are sinners by nature and by choice, deserving God’s righteous judgment. Salvation comes through repentance and faith in believing the death, burial, and the resurrection of Jesus Christ, who is the only mediator between God and humanity (Romans 3:23-24; 5:8; Romans 10:9-10, 13; 1 Corinthians 15:1-4; 1 Timothy 2:5-6).
We believe that the Church is the body of Christ, composed of all true believers, and that local congregations of baptized believers are commanded to gather regularly for worship, teaching, fellowship, and the observance of the ordinances (Matthew 28:19-20; Hebrews 10:25; Acts 2:42-47). We practice two ordinances: believer’s baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper, which symbolizes Christ’s body and blood given for us (Matthew 26:26-28; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26).
We believe that Jesus Christ has empowered and commissioned His church to go into all the world and make disciples, baptizing them and teaching them to obey all that He has commanded (Matthew 28:18-20). We are committed to sharing the gospel both locally and globally (2 Corinthians 5:20).
We believe in the personal and visible return of Jesus Christ to Earth to judge the living and the dead and to establish His everlasting and eternal kingdom (Psalm 145:13; Acts 1:9-11; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17). We believe in the resurrection of the body, eternal life for the redeemed, and eternal separation (Hell) from God for the unredeemed (John 5:28-29; Revelation 20:11-15).
We believe that God has created marriage as a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, designed to reflect the relationship between Christ and His church (Genesis 2:24; Ephesians 5:22-33). We affirm the sanctity of life beginning with conception to natural death and uphold the family as the foundational institution of society (Psalm 139:13-16; Jeremiah 1:5).
We believe that every believer is called to live a life of holiness, pursuing righteousness and godliness in thought, word, and deed (1 Peter 1:15-16). We are called to love God and others, to serve the needy, and to work for justice and peace (Matthew 22:37-40; Micah 6:8). And to grow in the Grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ (2 Peter 3:18).
